Hello!

You have been identified by department faculty and peers as a student who has demonstrated
leadership ability or has the characteristics to be a leader.

You are invited to apply to become a member of the 2025-26 cohort of RLI Scholars, which
includes participation in a 3-credit leadership seminar during the Fall semester - ET 4950 (or ET
5950 for graduate students).

Highlights of the Robe Leadership Institute Seminar:
1. Individualized attention and coaching from RLI Director Greg Kremer, RLI co-director
Cody Petitt, and Adjunct Instructor and experienced CEO Dan Squiller.
2. Personal interactions and networking with a range of guest speakers - many of them
Russ College alumni - who are at various stages of their personal and professional
leadership journeys and are eager to share their knowledge, experiences and lessons
learned.
3. Opportunities to learn about yourself and develop deep relationships with members of
the RLI cohort from across the college.
4. Free leadership resources, workshops, activities (for example low-ropes and high-ropes
challenges) and learning and development trips (designed with the RLI scholars).

You are a good fit for the RLI seminar if
1. You are ready for a personal and professional growth adventure, not a lecture-based
class.
2. You have a desire to grow in personal awareness, a willingness to be vulnerable with
fellow scholars as we grow together, an interest in getting beyond comfort zones and set
patterns of behavior, and an open-mindedness to new perspectives.
3. You resonate with the RLI core values - Respect All, Learn Always, Inspire Authentic
Action.
4. You will be at the junior or senior level in Fall 2025, or you are a graduate student.

If you are interested but do not have room in your schedule for the 3-hour seminar, there is a 1-
credit RLI select experiences (ME 4900) option where you can participate in the specific
activities and events that you are most interested in and that fit your schedule.

For more information, please contact Greg Kremer ( kremer at ohio.edu
) or Cody Petitt
( petittc at ohio.edu
), or visit https://www.ohio.edu/engineering/current/leadership-integrity/robe
To join the RLI seminar (ET 4950) or the ME 4900 RLI Select Experiences, please use the class
permission process and include in your permission request a short statement confirming you are
a good fit for the RLI seminar (or the select experiences option).

If you know of anyone else you think would benefit from the RLI seminar, feel free to forward
an invitation to them - we will be happy to talk with them.
