Dwight Richards is a Doctoral Intern who earned his Master’s degree from Wright State University School of Professional Psychology and his Bachelor’s degree from Central State University. His previous clinical experience includes providing individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment in forensic settings, community mental health, and college counseling. Dwight’s therapeutic approach is highly eclectic and likes to utilize psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and ACT principles. His clinical interests are social justice and multicultural work, sports psychology, and trauma work. Dwight focuses on building healthy rapport with clients and providing them with a safe environment to help process their needs, provide stability for personal self-growth, and equip individuals with skills to utilize outside of the therapy room. Outside of his professional life Dwight enjoys being a father to his two handsome sons, spending time with his family, spending time with his dog, weightlifting, and reflecting on his collegiate and professional career in basketball with former teammates and friends.
