Human Performance (MS8090)

The Human Performance program will focus on engagement, practicum, and internship opportunities in performance coaching and analytics that will prepare you to be a competitive human performance practitioner. Regular interactions with athletes and coaches will allow you to gain an understanding of the day-to-day operations in the field as well as network with professionals who are connected to the industry.

As this program has evolved, the program of study has become fixed. There may be opportunities to substitute some courses upon approval by the graduate faculty. Graduates of Ohio University may substitute alternative electives to expand your professional preparation.

Culminating Experience

Human Performance students must successfully complete either a thesis/report with oral defense, a comprehensive exam, or a research project with an oral defense (usually a refereed poster presentation for the OU Research Expo, ACSM, or NSCA).
