Greetings and Welcome. As your Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Community Wellbeing, I am deeply committed to cultivating environments that elevate professional growth, inclusive excellence, and holistic wellbeing. With a background in academic leadership, student development, and wellness advocacy, I bring both strategic insight and empathetic leadership to support the success of faculty, staff, and students.
My approach centers on fostering a thriving community through intentional programming, evidence-based faculty development, and equity-focused mentorship. I plan to include initiatives that enhance teaching effectiveness, strengthen early-career faculty support, and advance student success through experiential learning and alumni partnerships. I also place a strong emphasis on integrating mental health, emotional well-being, and belonging into the institutional culture.
In alignment with the Patton College of Education and Ohio University’s mission and strategic pillars, I am passionate about building systems that uplift teaching excellence, foster creativity and collaboration, and nurture a workplace rooted in trust, connection, and resilience. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to lead and collaborate in ways that amplify the voices and potential of every member of our college community.
If you have an idea, question, or concern, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Tamarine Foreman , PhD, LPCC-S
