Dear students and colleagues,
This past Saturday, 237 Heritage College graduates set out into the world to make their mark as doctors of osteopathic medicine!
Earlier this week, Ohio University President Lori Gonzalez shared a message with the university community following up on questions that faculty, staff and students submitted about the Advance Ohio Higher Education Act, which was recently signed into law by Governor Mike DeWine.
I am still walking on clouds after last week’s announcement: The Osteopathic Heritage Foundation is gifting the Heritage College $70 MILLION for student scholarships and research!
As I think back on the fall semester, one word comes to mind: Vibrant.
Sure, there were the leaves. And an abundance of clear blue autumn skies. The kind of days that draw us out of our offices and huddle rooms and into the great outdoors. The kind of days that breathe calm into our hectic schedules and never-ending to-do lists.
Care is the heart of everything we do at the Heritage College. It’s caring interactions in our classrooms. It’s sending our students out into the world to care for their future patients.
This past Saturday, 230 newly-minted Heritage College graduates set out into the world to make their mark as doctors of osteopathic medicine!
Based on preliminary data, I'm proud to announce a 99% match rate for the Heritage College Class of 2024!
Of those, 69 percent matched in Ohio, and 47 percent matched in a primary care specialty. One-third of the students matched in primary care in Ohio.
