Student Organizations Cleveland
Our Mission
As a new chapter at OU-HCOM Cleveland, Students for a National Health Program (SNaHP) advocates for universal, comprehensive single-payer healthcare. We firmly believe quality healthcare is a right for all people and should be treated as a public good, not a commodity.

Our chapter will serve as a hub for education on healthcare reform, practical advocacy training, and collaborative action. We aim to empower medical students to become effective leaders in the movement for equitable healthcare.
Tentative Schedule 2025-2026
This year, our chapter will focus on foundational education and practical skills. We plan to host core events like a "Single Payer 101" session, a panel discussion on "Experiences without Insurance," and a speaker series featuring experts in health policy. To build real-world advocacy skills, we will provide op-ed and testimony training, often in collaboration with The Medical Student Physician Action Network (MS-PAN). These activities will be financed through annual membership dues and targeted fundraisers. Other chapters have successfully lobbied local city councils, and we hope to create opportunities for members to engage in direct advocacy.
