LJC 3915 - Post-Externship Seminar in Law, Justice & Culture


This course is designed for students who have completed LJC 3910: Externship in Law, Justice & Culture. LJC 3915 provides students with opportunities for collective reflection and guidance on how their externship experiences can be integrated into their current and future academic and professional development. The class focuses on discussions and exercises that enable students to (1) reflect on and discuss the experiential, academic, and professional dimensions of the program they participated in; and (2) produce a tangible final externship project that can be used to support ongoing educational and professional pursuits.

Requisites: LJC 3910 or 4945
Credit Hours: 1
Repeat/Retake Information: May be retaken two times excluding withdrawals, but only last course taken counts.
Lecture/Lab Hours: 1.0 seminar

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will articulate an awareness of ethical challenges associated with law-related work and practice.
  • Students will demonstrate ability to critically reflect on law and justice practice in real-world settings.
