Program Overview
The business minor is designed to provide students in majors other than business with an understanding of the language and basic concepts of business. The focus of this program is on the application of these business concepts. The minor consists of seven courses, one each from the areas of accounting, business law and corporate responsibility, finance, management and human resources, management information systems, marketing, and operations management.

Opportunities Upon Graduation
This minor will give students in majors other than business a basic background in business concepts which are so important to almost any profession. Typical majors who pursue this minor are communication, retail merchandising and fashion product development, industrial technology and management, and sport management to name a few.

Minor Hours Requirement
The business minor requires a minimum of 21 hours, with a GPA of 2.0 or better in the required courses.
