Program Overview
The finance minor provides students with a basic understanding of corporate finance, financial markets and institutions, and investments. After gaining this basic financial knowledge, students will choose from a large number of electives based on their interests when completing their additional required minor courses. Students must complete two additional elective classes from the following classes: basic financial planning, equities, financial modeling, advanced corporate finance, fixed income securities, derivatives, bank management, personal financial planning, risk and insurance and more.

Change of Major/Minor/Certificate Policy
No selective or limited admission requirements.
External Transfer Admission
University admission requirements and completion of MATH 1350 .
Opportunities Upon Graduation
Depending on the electives students choose to take with in the minor, they may be prepared for fields such as banking, insurance, government services, or in an array of industries that employ financial analysts, decision makers, financial strategists, budgeting officers, and planners.

- FIN 3000 - Foundations of Financial Management Credit Hours: 3
Elective Courses
Complete additional FIN courses for a total of 15 hours. Note: QBA 2010 is a requisite for all 4000-level FIN courses, with the exception of bank management and financial planning courses.
