Thanks, Cornell University, Employment and Disability Institute Senior Extension Associate Program Associate Job Description Position will be located in New York, NY or Ithaca, NY, within the ILR School. The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University has an immediate opening for a Senior Extension Associate in the Employment and Disability Institute. The position of Senior Extension Associate Program Associate within the Employment and Disability Institute (EDI) in the Extension/Outreach Division of the ILR School is primarily responsible for developing and delivering a range of programming in the area of disability and employment. This position will work 50% with the DBTAC-Northeast ADA Center, a federally- funded grant from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education. The remaining 50% will focus on the New York Makes Work Pay Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG) from the US DHHS, Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services. More information about the ILR School can be obtained at our web site, http://www.ilr.cornell.edu This is a two year initial appointment with the expectation of renewal based on available funding and work. Qualifications: Masters or PhD in human resources, industrial and labor relations, employment and/or disability-related law, social-sciences, vocational rehabilitation, disability studies, instructional design or other related field. Minimum of three to six years conducting training to relevant target audience, and/or conducting research in the thematic content area, as well as providing consultation, and research services to regional, state, or national networks through the use of in-person, print, and electronic mediums. Strong written and oral communication skills and experience teaching adult learners. Experience in teaching and developing distributed learning including online courses, and how to meet web accessibility requirements are required. Knowledge of digital learning objects, multimedia instructional technologies, synchronous and asynchronous distance education, and instructional design and assessment methodologies. Relevant professional leadership and network development at the state, regional, national, and/or international areas in relevant professional, trade, policy, or public networks. Demonstrated writing ability and scholarly record in the thematic content area (articles in peer-reviewed journals, articles in trade publications, research and project reports, informational brochures, policy briefs, etc.) preferred. Expertise on the ADA and related pieces of disability nondiscrimination and employment legislation preferred.
