The position is nine months, non-tenure one year appointment renewable for multiple years contingent on funding and expected to run for at least three years in the College of Psychology, beginning Fall, 2012 with possible opportunities for summer teaching. Duties entail course instruction, clinical fieldwork coordination, student recruitment, clinical practicum and internship supervision and student advisement in CORE registered B.S. and accredited M.S. programs. Qualifications for the position include: (1) a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Rehabilitation Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, or equivalent is preferred, however candidates with a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling or equivalent with strong clinical experience will be considered; (2) certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) (or CRC eligible within two years) is required; (3) strong background in rehabilitation counseling and/or clinical mental health counseling practice is required; (4) training and/or teaching experience is preferred; and (5) strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required. The College of Psychology, a vibrant and productive academic unit, has a unique composition of three applied graduate programs: CORE accredited Rehabilitation Psychology, APA accredited Clinical Psychology, I/O Psychology programs. Along with the College's Center for Research and Service and National Consortium on Stigma and Empowerment, inter-program collaboration opportunities are plentiful.
