A doctorate in the area of counselor education is required. A candidate with a doctoral degree from a CACREP Counselor Education and Supervision Program is preferred. The Rider University community is composed of faculty, staff and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Applicants should be experienced with, and committed to, work with such a diverse population. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in teaching a variety of counseling courses including (but not limited to) school counseling, addictions counseling, counseling supervision, practicum, internships and has experience with evidence-based treatments and clinical practice and supervision. Candidates with a background in school counseling and/or clinical mental health counseling are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for 18 teaching hours (six class sections) per academic year. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be involved in program development and assessment, including preparation for CACREP reaccreditation and advising and supervising graduate students in the counseling services program and serving on Department, College, and University committees. The candidate will be expected to carry out a research agenda and disseminate results in scholarly publications and at professional conferences.
