POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR

COUNSELOR EDUCATION



Counselor Educator:   Two full-time Special Purpose Assistant Professors to serve in a nationally accredited program. The first position the department is seeking is in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling area. Teaching expectations include: teaching core courses in a comprehensive Counselor Education program with experience in clinical supervision. The second position the department is seeking consists of a 50% teaching load that includes core and clinically focused courses, and coordinating practica/internships.  This position will also serve as an assessment coordinator in ongoing departmental assessment development for accreditation, programming, etc.



A doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-approved counseling program is preferred. Eligibility for licensure as a professional counselor in Virginia is also preferred. Application review begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
