The applicant must have an earned doctorate in counselor education from an accredited university (preferably a CACREP accredited program) though ABD applicants may be considered. Applicants must be eligible for licensure as a professional counselor in the state of Louisiana Primary responsibilities are teaching courses in the School Counseling Program and Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program, research/scholarly activity, and service to the department, college, and university. Counseling and Guidance faculty also spend time mentoring graduate students and assisting in student research. The Counseling and Guidance Program, Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, and Louisiana Tech University have a strong commitment to diversity.
