Major Work Characteristics/Summary of Position

The YSU Department of Counseling, Special Education, and School Psychology is seeking candidates for two tenure-track, Assistant Professor positions in the Counseling Program. This CACREP- accredited and nationally-recognized program offers comprehensive training in addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and student affairs/college counseling. The successful candidates will be expected to (1) teach graduate level counseling courses, engage in (2) scholarship, and (3) professional and university service.

Minimum Qualifications

Earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education from a CACREP- accredited program (confirmed by August 2016). Experience and active engagement in the field of counseling. Evidence of potential for success in teaching, service, and scholarship.

Desired Qualifications

Additional experience in addiction counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and/or student affairs/college counseling are preferred. Graduate teaching experience in counseling and license eligibility as a professional counselor are preferred.
