Summary

Ursuline College, a small liberal arts college located on a tranquil campus outside of Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a full time Clinical Director, with teaching responsibilities, in its graduate Counseling and Art Therapy Program. The position would begin August 15th, 2023. The program provides education and training in clinical mental health counseling and art therapy and is accredited by CACREP and CAAHEP/ACATE. Tenure/non-tenure track TBD, rank commensurate with experience.



Responsibilities

  *   Coordinating and overseeing all dimensions of clinical component of program, including:

     *   Assisting students in finding and securing clinical placements
     *   Regularly orienting and supporting students, supervisors, and sites to clinical requirements and record keeping procedures
     *   Holding regular clinical orientations and meetings with students, supervisor meetings, supervisor training workshops, and other related events
     *   Recruiting, scheduling, and supporting clinical classroom supervisors/adjuncts
     *   Maintaining all clinical documentation and records within two electronic platforms (Tevera and D2L)
     *   Assisting with procedures related to clinical skills lab
     *   Regularly reviewing and updating clinical requirements, procedures, and documentation to ensure best practices in alignment with CACREP and CAAHEP standards, as well as relevant credentialing and licensing boards
     *   Assisting with clinical data collection and report writing as part of program evaluation and assessment

  *   Teaching/assisting with clinical courses
  *   Fulfilling other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  *   Master’s degree, in art therapy or counseling
  *   ATR-BC credentialed preferred
  *   Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or license eligible in Ohio, with supervisory status preferred
  *   Strong administrative and organizational skills
  *   Strong computer skills and ability to maintain data storage systems
  *   Collaborative, team-player
  *   Proactive self-starter, with strong skills in advanced planning
  *   Active participation in state, national, and local professional organizations
  *   Evidence of continuing professional development
  *   Competence in teaching

  *   Teaching graduate level courses
  *   Advising students and participating in student candidate interviews
  *   Participating in college committee work
  *   Assisting with departmental responsibilities such as accreditation, curriculum and program development, practicum and internship, capstone, studio/clinical skills lab coordination, and fulfilling other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  *   Doctoral degree in Counselor Education, with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy, or current enrollment in doctoral program
  *   ATR-BC credential
  *   Licensed LPCC or LPCC-S, or license eligible in Ohio
  *   Active participation in state, national, and local professional organizations
  *   Evidence of continuing scholarly work and research agenda
  *   Competence in teaching
  *   Minumum of three years clinical practice in art therapy and/or counseling
