Attention doctoral students! May 5 deadline From: Ermis-Demirtas, Hulya < Hu-Ermis at neiu.edu > Sent: Tuesday, April 30, 2024 1:40 PM To: Bhat, Christine < bhatc at ohio.edu > Subject: [External] NCACES Emerging Leaders Program Inviting Doctoral Students/Candidates & New Professionals to Apply! Use caution with links and attachments. Good afternoon Dr. Bhat, Happy Tuesday! I hope this email finds you well. I am co-chairing the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NCACES) Emerging Leaders Program with Dr. Victoria Sepulveda (past-president of NCACES). Our call for the 2024-2025 NCACES Emerging Leaders went out recently. We are looking for doctoral students/candidates and new professionals (newly PhDs) to apply for the program. The deadline to apply for the program is May 5th, but if someone wants to apply but is unable to meet the deadline, please encourage them to reach out to me. I would greatly appreciate it if you could pass this information to your doctoral students/candidates or new graduates with promising leadership experience/skills who would be interested and willing to serve within the NCACES. The program involves receiving mentorship from a seasoned faculty with the leaders in the region, participating in the NCACES activities, and networking. I was one of the NCACES ELs in 2020, and the mentorship I received was amazing. That helped me narrow down my research agenda and publish several manuscripts. We have great mentors on the board, highly passionate to help future leaders.
