Happy New Year All! OCEES Announcements for the beginning of the semester.


  1.  Welcome back all and hopefully this crazy pandemic will end soon so that things can become just a little bit more normal. In the meantime, stay masked, distant, and be safe.
  2.  We will have our biannual OCEES Faculty Meeting 12 January beginning at 11:50 via Teams - Please see the invitation below and I also sent it through the listserve just a few minutes ago.
  3.  Our first presentation will be 19 January at 11:50 by Morgan Vis-Chiasson from PBIO - Her title is - What, where and why: biogeographic trends in freshwater red algae. There will be an update next week regarding whether this presentation will take place in person or only via Teams. All seminars this semester will be available via Teams.
  4.  We are still looking to fill many of the slots for Ecolunch presentations. I am attaching the current schedule and slots will go on a first come, first served basis so sign up quickly before all the slots are filled. Students registered for 2 credit hours of BIOS 7000 are required to present. Also, recipients of the OCEES GRFP are also required to present. Email roosenbu at ohio.edu
