Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder: the Darwin Lecture by Luke Harmon is this Thursday from 4-5 PM in Irvine room 199.  Please do everything you can to attend, and also to allow students to attend. This is one of the flagship OCCES events and participation is important. Irvine 199 is a big room: we’ll look silly if turnout is poor.

On Thursday there will be a pizza lunch for graduate students.

Also on Thursday: there is a reception with snacks in Irvine 159 after the talk.  Then we’ll go to Jacky O’s.

There are a few openings in the schedule to meet with Dr. Harmon. If you’d like to meet with him, send me or John Schenk an email (students can also sign up!).  If possible, select a couple times because often people select the same slots so the flexibility helps. Otherwise, it is first come, first serve for meetings.
