Howdy Folks, There is no Ecolunch this week. However, Audrey Friedstad will be giving an Ecolunch next week, so be sure to come next week! Most of the slots are taken after this week, except 2/19 & 3/5 (email me if you’d like to use one of these slots). Last fall, OCEES voted to bring in Doug Tallamy as the 2025 Darwin Speaker. We have reached an agreement with him, but we had to move his talk from the spring to mid-October. I think his visit will be great! =-) You’ll get all sorts of reminders and whatnot after the summer. Because the spring Darwin Speaker was moved to the fall, we invited a new Darwin Speaker: Dr. Arianna Kuhn! Dr. Kuhn is a member of the Biodiversity & Global Change Lab at the Illinois Natural History Survey (and until recently, she was the curator of Herpetology at the Virginia Natural History Museum). She will be telling us about snake evolution in Madagascar. Dr. Kuhn is very dynamic and interactive, and I’m delighted we were able to sponsor her. I’ll send out more information later, but for now just know that her talk will be in mid-April. Sincerely, Shawn Kuchta John Schenk
