Lauren Janoschka, General Manager and Production Manager at Spooky Action Theater in Washington, D.C.

Spooky Action is a small but ambitious theater company that’s all about innovative and immersive storytelling—we love tackling challenging and thought-provoking narratives. We’re especially excited about our upcoming events: we’ll have Tony-Award winner Stew Stewart in concert in December and Professor Woland’s Black Magic Rock Show  in the spring. These events showcase the variety and creativity of our programming, blending music, theater, and a bit of magic to engage our audience in new ways. In my role, I handle the day-to-day operations and production logistics. As General Manager, I make sure everything on the administrative side runs smoothly, and as Production Manager, I coordinate all the moving parts of our shows, making sure the creative ideas come to life seamlessly.
