
Regional Campus Accessibility Coordinator
Rik Arnett is a passionate and analytically driven professional whose career spans education, leadership, and now accessibility and data-informed services in higher education. He currently serves as an Regional Accessibility Coordinator at Ohio University, where he supports inclusive access and learning equity for students in a hybrid capacity.
Before stepping into higher education services, Rik built a decade-long career in K–12 education, where he specialized in mathematics and special education. Most recently, he served as an Intervention Specialist at Alexander Local Schools, teaching 6th–8th grade math through innovative, engaging lessons. Prior to that, he worked for 10 years at Belpre City Schools as a Mathematics Teacher and Intervention Specialist, where he also served as Vice President of the local teachers’ union. There, he honed skills in project management, data analysis, team leadership, and mentoring.
Rik holds a Master’s in Special Education from Ohio University, an Integrated Mathematics Teaching Licensefrom Ohio Dominican University, and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Ohio University.
