Evans Agyemang Opoku was born in Kumasi, in the Ashanti region of Ghana. He earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 2019, as well as a master's degree in International Development Studies and two graduate certificates from Ohio University.

Evans has worked as an Assistant Laboratory Analyst at the CSIR-Crops Research Institute in Ghana, where he focused on plant establishment and disease diagnostics. Additionally, he has experience as a Field Supervisor for the Ghana Statistical Service.

He is passionate about community health outcomes, particularly concerning non-communicable diseases. His goal is to develop health interventions using effective health and risk communication strategies to improve outcomes related to non-communicable diseases, especially obesity. Outside of academics, Evans enjoys soccer, highlife music, and spending time with friends.
