Ohio University is implementing new fonts to align with the current branding, Forever OHIO, which are now available to download as of May 6, 2021.
The two main typefaces are P22 Mackinac and Termina, chosen to feel modern and youthful but also possible to have been found in the drawers of a 100-year-old letter press shop. The secondary typefaces are Proxima Nova and Industry. For more information on font usage and guidelines, visit https://www.ohio.edu/ucm/ohio-brand/typography .
P22 Mackinac, Termina, Proxima Nova and Industry are to replace the previous OHIO fonts of EB Garamond, Barlow and Zilla Slab. Full adoption of the new fonts across the institution is required to maintain consistency in the University’s brand.
