Internet Explorer (IE) will be retired on June 15, 2022 (OIT had posted this news in the May 16,2022 edition of OHIO Employee News). If you use Internet Explorer to access My Personal Information (MPI) or any other Oracle E-Business Suite responsibilities, we recommend switching to a different browser now to ensure that you are comfortable using an alternative browser before IE is officially retired. You may choose any of the browsers below to access MPI/Oracle eBiz.
- Apple Safari
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR)
Note: if you have not updated your browser version in a while, you may be required to update to a more recent version. If you need assistance with software updates, please contact the OIT Service Desk.
As a reminder, multi-factor authentication is required to access MPI or any other Oracle responsibilities. If you have selected the “remember me for 30 days” multi-factor authentication option in IE, this will not carry over to your new browser; you may select that option again once you authenticate in the new browser.
If you have access to additional Oracle E-Business Suite responsibilities that contain Java forms, please review the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBIZ) Forms: Connection Requirements & Supported Browsers Quick Reference Guide for instructions on using the various browsers. Most IE Java form users have opted to switch to Microsoft Edge since it closely resembles the experience that they are accustomed to with IE, but you may choose to use any of these browsers listed.
Additionally, bookmarks that you have saved in IE will need to be setup again in your new browser as well. Please take the time now to review those to ensure that you don’t lose any bookmarks when IE is retired on June 15, 2022. This date is set by Microsoft and OHIO has no control over this date, so please don’t wait until June 15 th to set up your new browser.
