Addressing Ohio’s Most Urgent Heath Care Issues
The $105 million gift from the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations that we received in April 2011 makes possible our vision to become a national leader in primary care medical education and medical research.
This historic gift will be used to address some of the state’s and the nation’s most pressing health care issues—the impending shortage of primary care physicians and the diabetes epidemic. Transformational changes to our medical school are under way now. This includes initiatives designed to reengineer primary care education and service to Ohio, enhance our community care programs, and expand our medical research and research education endeavors.
Our goal is to become nothing less than the leader in primary care education.
