Biographical note

Caroline Anne Bowles Southey (1786-1854) was an English writer of various prose fictions, verse satire, dramatic monologue, and an autobiography. She published eight poetry books in her lifetime, and became the second wife of Robert Southey - a writer with whom she collaborated with for twenty years before their marriage.
