Biographical note
Richard Le Gallienne (1866-1947) was an English writer, close-knit with the London writer of his time but located in the USA. He originally worked in an accountant's office in England but abandoned office work to write. He joined the staff of the Star in 1891 and wrote for various publications. When his first wife passed away, he moved to the US with his second wife, and had a daughter, American actress Eva le Gallienne.
