Abstract:
Enoch Arnold Bennett was born on 27 May 1867 in Hanley, Staffordshire England. He worked as the assistant editor for the periodical Woman beginning in 1894 and began writing serialized fiction and then novels. He moved to Paris in 1903 and served as the Director of Propaganda for the French Ministry of Information during the First World War. He died of typhoid at his home in Baker Street, London on 27 March 1931.
