Scope and Content

The Manasseh Cutler papers include correspondence, lists of plants and animals , botanical notebooks, and sermons. A folder contains the inventories of the folio volumes I - XI in the "Cutler Miscellany" section of the Manasseh Cutler Collection on deposit in the Special Collections Department of the Northwestern University Library. The botanical notebooks are bound and unbound and also contain notes for sermons or sermons and journal diary from 1785. The sermons range from 1792 to 1815. The miscellaneous materials include photographs of the First Congregational Church in Hamilton, Massachusetts, a statement of Cutler's admission to Yale College dated October 27, 1766, and proof sheets.
