Scope and Content

The Victor H. Bernstein papers document his journalism work during and after World War II. The collection includes scrapbooks, photographs, photostats, and general items collected as a foreign correspondent.

There are eight scrapbooks containing newspaper clippings of articles by Bernstein from PM and the Star. The collection also includes seven photographs and fourteen Photostats relating to the Nuremberg trial. The general items include press passes, Palestinian money, a United Nations scorecard of the votes which created Israel, a newsletter written by concentration camp survivors, and a list of the dead at Buchenwald.
