Alexander Thompson and Clara Thompson scrapbook
Scope and Content
Alexander Thompson (AT) and Clara Thompson (CT) scrapbook was created by AT and CT in 1913 through 1914. It includes newspaper clippings, recital programs and sheet music. The newspaper clippings document the arrival of Alexander Thompson (AT) at Ohio University (OU) as the Director of the School of Music, CT's work at OU and include articles from major cities such as Boston and Chicago that dealt with Spanish dancing. The sheet music is for original compositions composed by AT.
The scrapbook itself is in fine condition, however, some of the newspaper articles contained therein have become fragile and a few items are loose. Care should be taken that no items are lost.

Biography of Alexander Thompson and Clara Thompson scrapbook
Alexander Thompson (AT) and Clara Thompson (CT) were a married couple who both worked at Ohio University (OU). AT was the Director of the School of Music at OU from 1913 to 1922. CT was an instructor in Voice Culture at OU and director of the girls' glee club.
