History of Department of Specialty Medicine
The Department of Specialty Medicine (DSM) at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-COM) was established in 1990. The DSM consists of certified osteopathic (D.O.) and medical (M.D.) physicians in different specialty areas such as general surgery, orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, pathology, psychiatry, radiology, diabetes/endocrinology, acupuncture and dermatology.
