Ohio University collection of videotapes
Scope and Content
The Ohio University collection of videotapes include videotapes created about variety of groups and events at the university. Some of the tapes are promotional material while others are records of live events.
The collection includes, but is not limited to, the following: a progress report created in January 1991 by the College of Engineering and Technology and covering the years of 1985 - 1990; a 1988 "Ohio University: Personal Perspectives," produced by the Office of University Relations and is 18 minutes; "Reminiscences with John Baker," was produced on March 7, 1992 and is approximately 23 minutes; "The Dream Realized: The Ohio University Third Century Campaign Victory Celebration Gala," produced on October 9, 1993 by the Ohio University Telecommunications Center; a recording of Ohio University Commencement for the class of 1996; a recording of Satellite Town Meeting #32 conducted by the U.S. Department of Education on April 16, 1996 entitled "Preparing for College;" the 1994 farewell dinner in honor of former President Charles J. Ping; promotional for the Manasseh Cutler Scholars Program circa 1997; an informational about the Ohio University Third Century Campaign upon its completion in 1994; promotional "Taking Biotechnology Out of the Lab with Dan Rather, Tom Wagner and other scientists; 1990 slide show on the College of Engineering; 1991 progress report on the College of Engineering; 1992 promotional on the College of Engineering; 1987 Eminent Scholar announcement; 1986 Honeywell commercial featuring Ohio University; 1990 Judy Pearson interview; 1986 "I'm Here for Work: a History of Women at Ohio University;" copy of 1925 film footage of the Logan courthouse dedication; promotional on the Southwest Native American collection of Edwin and Ruth Kennedy; promotional called "OU: Unique Commitment to a Unique Region;" the Stocker Center dedication; and "A Conversation with President-Elect Glidden."
