Scope and Content
The records of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of American, Local 1111, are mainly concerned with the general business of the Local and with the welfare of the Local members.
The Minutes of the General Meeting are complete from Septembert 1930-May 1963. They are a record of general business and the job market in the community.
The correspondence also deals with Local matters: wage scale, jurisdiction, work availability and requests for assistance from Local members.
Of less importance are the few samples of the Stewards Weekly Reports. The Minutes of the Tri-State District Council, September 1954-February, April 1955, provide the only information of the relationship of th Local to International Union.

Acquisition Information
The Ohio University Archives received the collection as a donation from Henry Peery, Business Representative of Carpenters and Joiners Local 650, Pomeroy, Ohio, in June 1978. It was acquired for the Ohio Labor History Project.

Ohio University will entertain requests to photocopy reasonable amounts of material from the collection for the convenience of individual researchers.
