Martzolff family papers
Scope and Content
The Martzolff family papers span from 1879 to 1944 and are items created and collected by Clement Luther Martzolff (CLM) and Candus Mage Martzolff (CMM). CMM donated the collection to the Ohio University Archives. Included in the collection are several photocopied documents, originally collected in one folder with an attached note stating that they are the gift of Stephen Botley. The collection is a pretty much random collection of documents. Because of this heterogeneity, the records have been processed in pretty much the same order in which they were found. Some documents have been given their own folder that were originally filed with others. The papers include writings by CLM, publications edited by CLM, publications collected by CLM, promotional flyers for, and press notices of, public lectures given by CLM, exam questions, photographs, newspaper clippings, genealogical notes, correspondence, yearbooks of the Nondescript Club, New Lexington, Ohio for years between 1933 and 1956, an Inauguration Invitation and program for the Woodrow Wilson-Thomas R. Marshall inaugural, questionnaires designed by CLM, and programs for the First Ohio University Founders Day.
