Scope and Content
The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) records span from 1936 to 1997 and document the activities of ROTC at Ohio University (OU). The records include correspondence on the establishment of and protest again ROTC, signed petitions, reports from the Department of Military Science and Tactics, correspondence from the Navy Department, records on the Army Special Training Program, Veterans Administration contracts, regulations for the Army Specialized Training Program, research on the history of the Scabbard and Blade society at OU, a 1936 issue of The Dress Parade newspaper publication, and a flag used by ROTC.
