Ohio University Friends of the Libraries Collection
Scope and Content
The Friends of the Libraries organization was created in 1979 as a way to help Alden Library raise money to supplement external funding. In addition to providing an annual gift to Alden Library, they also host book sales, sponsor public lectures, provide scholarships to selected student employees, and publish a semi-annual magazine called Gatherings.
