Scope and Content
Dated primarily during the period 1991-1993 the materials in this collection document the preparation for, implementing of, and activities surrounding the development of case-based teaching instruments to be used for the education of medical students, both allopathic and osteopathic, in the United Kingdom. The materials in this collection include correspondence with medical school personnel in England and Scotland; questionnaires, notes, research materials, scholarly papers such as journal articles and conference reports, a computer disk.

Biography of Marjorie A. Nelson
Marjorie A. Nelson (MAN) is Associate Professor Emerita of Preventive Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Social Medicine, Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUHCOM). She holds a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Public Health. MAN was involved in virtually all aspects of the Osteopathic Medical Center and the COM as a clinician and as a faculty member. While on sabbatical in the early 1990s, she undertook the project to develop case-based teaching instruments for the instruction of medical students in the United Kingdom for which the materials in this collection were used.
