History of Ohio University School of Dance
The Ohio University School of Dance (SD) is part of the College of Fine Arts. It was established after a visiting committee made up by representatives from New York University, Lincoln Center and the University of Maryland conducted a feasibility study in 1966. The SD offers a four-year training program that culminates in a Bachelor of Fine Arts. It became a charter accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Dance in 1982.
