History of the Tri-County Community Action Agency
The Tri-County Community Action Agency (TCCAA) was a not-for-profit organization formed in 1964 and involved the Ohio counties of Hocking, Athens and Perry. TCCAA was the precursor to the Hocking.Athens.Perry Community Action organization. TCCAA provided programs and support systems that allowed low-income residents the opportunity to improve their lives. It informed its clients of proposed laws and rules that may affect them, and gave them the chance to voice their opinions. The programs were divided into five major groups: Community Services, Child Development, Job Training, Economic Development. and Aging Services. TCCAA was governed by a board of trustees made up of public officials, private organizations, and low-income residents.
