This year's conference will be take place v ia Microsoft Teams on Friday\, March 26.\n\nWhy participate?\nThe History C onference offers students an opportunity to publish their work in a confere nce format\, engage peers and faculty members in academic dialogue\, and ex perience a fundamental part of the historian's profession. Students who wis h to pursue graduate studies\, a career in public history\, or a profession that requires experience with research\, writing\, or public speaking are strongly encouraged to participate.\n\nWho can participate?\nUndergraduate students in their junior or senior year who have produced a research histor y paper or are working on an Honors Tutorial College or honors thesis.\n\nW hat to expect?\nEach speaker will have 15 to 20 minutes to present a paper. This means papers should be 8 to 10 double-spaced pages long. The Conferen ce Planning Committee will work closely with interested students to prepare papers for presentation\, especially if they have not delivered a paper in this format before.\n\nWhat do I need to do in order to participate?\nWrit e a proposal up to 250 words long describing the topic of the paper\, the m ain sources used in the analysis\, and the main argument or thesis. Submit your proposal to Dr. Mirna Zakić (zakic@ohio.edu) by FRIDAY\, MARCH 12.
