DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Maria M. Carreira\, Emerita Professor of Spanish of Ca
lifornia State University Long Beach and former Co-Director\, the National
Heritage Language Resource Center (NHLRC) for a Workshop during Internation
al Education Week. \n\n \n\nDrawing on the principles of anti-racist and pr
o-diversity practices in the language classroom and project-based learning
(PBLL)\, this workshop aims to help participants be prepared and informed o
f the procedural knowledge and topics that can be incorporated into their c
urriculum and tap into the linguistic and cultural resources that students
bring to the classroom and create an inclusive and enriching learning exper
ience for all. \n\n\nWorld Language Instructor-geared pedagogy workshop wh
ich will draw on the principles of anti-racist practices in the language cl
assroom and the project-based language learning to inform procedural knowle
dge that can be incorporated into curriculum.\n\n \n\nLight refreshments wi
