About this Event
Add to calendarHow do climate change and health care intertwine, and how are they reflected in the candidates’ policies?
Dr. Geoffrey Dabelko, Dr. Daniel Skinner, and Dr. Dina Lopez discuss presidential candidates' policies on health care and climate change and how the two current crises in the US intersect with one another.
Dabelko is an expert in climate change, environment, and foreign policy and environmental peacebuilding. He focuses on climate change and security, environmental peacebuilding, water conflict and cooperation, and global environmental politics.
Skinner is an expert in the affordable care act, Medicaid opioid crisis, and social medicine. He emphasizes the challenges of developing a health care system that provides access to all Americans but is of increasingly high quality and affordability.
Lopez's research includes the geochemistry and hydrogeology of geothermal systems (including diffuse soil degassing and heat flow studies), and environmental problems such as acid mine drainage and arsenic contamination in water.
