She is also a Steering Committee member on the nat ional Women in Family Medicine Collaborative for the Society of Teachers in Family Medicine. She practices full spectrum Family Medicine including out patient\, pediatric and adult inpatient\, and obstetric care. Her clinical areas of interest are in gender affirming care\, addiction medicine\, and p regnancy care. Her research areas of interest are in gender’s role in feedb ack\, remediation\, and leadership.\n \nRebekah Schiefer is a clinical soci al worker and associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at O regon Health Science University\, where she serves as the Director of Behav ioral Health Education. She teaches and oversees behavioral health educatio n for the FM residency program and also works as a behavioral health consul tant in a rural family medicine clinic outside the Portland Metro area. Her clinical and research interests include teaching family oriented care in r esidency and identifying and intervening with at-risk pregnant and early pa renting populations to help parents foster healthy attachments with their y oung children. She is especially interested in how we teach behavioral heal th and medical providers to approach medical care through a family oriented lens that includes an understanding of trauma and adverse childhood experi ences and how those influence physical and mental health problems.
