About this Event
$5 Add to calendarIn the town of Messina, the forces of Don Pedro return victorious from a deep conflict, with minimal casualties. They are received by the governor of Messina, Leonato, who offers to Don Pedro and his soldiers her home. While there, Don Pedro’s most decorated soldier, Claudio, falls in love with Leonato’s daughter, Hero. Along the way Leonato’s niece, Beatrice, and another of Don Pedro’s soldiers, Benedict host a war of biting wit and denial of love. Seeing how good of a match they would be for each other, Don Pedro and Leonato conspire to make the two fall in love with each other. However, everyone’s happiness is threatened by the machinations of Don John, the embittered brother of Don Pedro, who seeks to destroy the happiness of Claudio and Hero and leave all of Messina in upheaval. Will true love prevail over all? Find out in Much Ado About Nothing, a comedy by William Shakespeare.
