About this Event
Add to calendarPlease join us on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 12 p.m. EST for a discussion with two of our Engineering alumni about the field of Forensics Engineering, their career paths, how they approach projects in their respective roles, and unique opportunities they have had as a result of their careers.
Blake Andrews ('06) will be joining us from London where he manages the office of Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc. and is working to expand his company’s services in the United Kingdom and greater Europe. He has more than ten years of experience with a background in structural engineering.
Matt Johnson ('94, '96) is the Structural Engineering Division Head for Simpson Gumpertz & Heger’s Chicago office and part of his team’s role is to design, investigate, and rehabilitate buildings and infrastructure.
These two incredible alumni will talk about the field of engineering as a whole, but also give us some unique insight into the process of evaluating structural integrity, determining the steps needed to rehabilitate a structure, and sometimes even investigating the cause of a structural failure.
If you have any questions, please email Barbara Fiocchi at fiocchib@ohio.edu .
