DESCRIPTION:The CTLA’s Ramp Up to Instruction workshop makes available dedi
cated time to implement valuable refinements to the courses they’re teachin
g this semester. Ramp Up to Instruction consists of two sessions over two d
ays. Instructors may choose between an online or face-to-face version of th
e workshop.\n\nDay 2 offers a block of time to focus on the actual design o
r refinement of course activities. Participants will review their semester
plans with a focus on transparency and accessibility of activities.\n\nDuri
ng Ramp Up Day 2: Delivering Transparent and Effective Instruction\, they w
ill:\n\nDesign or evaluate their planned activities with the frameworks of
Transparency in Teaching and Learning (TILT) and University Design for Lear
ning (UDL) in mind.Check for alignment of course activities\, assignments\,
and assessments with course learning outcomes.Evaluate their Canvas or Bla
ckboard course for support of student learning.Check their course syllabi f
or required and recommended components.The Ramp Up to Instruction will be o
ffered BOTH in-person and online. This registration is for the in-person wo

mp Up to Instruction will meet from 9 to 11 am on Monday\, August 19 and Tu
esday\, August 20. Participants are welcome to register even if they can on
