We have made this decision knowing that while our region is struggling with the pain and loss caused by substance use disorders\, our l ocal medical facilities and frontline workers cannot provide adequate care to those in need if health systems are overwhelmed with patients.\n\nWe rem ain dedicated to bringing nationally recognized author\, speaker\, and just ice enterprise founder Becca Stevens to southeast Ohio to share her journey in creating Thistle Farms. In the meantime\, our planning committee will c ontinue working to bring educational programming and resources related to s ubstance use disorders and recovery to the region. We look forward to hosti ng an in-person event at a future date.\n\nThank you for your patience and understanding. Stay tuned for future announcements related to Recovery 360. \n\n \n\n______________________________________________________________\n \n \n\nRecovery 360 will provide a comprehensive understanding of Substance Use Disorder and Opiate Use Disorder as illnesses and articulate how traum a\, human trafficking\, barriers around housing and employment impact peopl e in recovery.\n\n \n\nKEYNOTE SPEAKER: BECCA STEVENS\nWhite House Champion of Change\, Humanitarian of the Year by the Small Business Council of Amer ica and the founder of Thistle Farms -a women’s recovery center supported b y justice enterprise located in Nashville.\n\n \n\nInteractive sessions wil l explore recovery workforce engagement by employers and employees in recov ery.\n\n \n\nEvent will include a moderated discussion from representatives of enterprises that employ a recovery workforce or offer workforce skillse t development to those in recovery: \n\n- JACK EVERSON of Chillicothe\, a f ormer mayor and the founder of “Wise Path\,” a provider of skillset develop ment and best practices for those exiting drug court.\n- STEVE BLACKWELL\, who owns a Meigs county construction company that hires individuals in reco very.\n- FELICITY PELLIOR\, HR manager of Stirling Ultracold\, which has be en flexible with people’s previous circumstances and has hired multiple ref errals from OhioMeansJobs-Athens County”\n\n \n\nThe day will conclude with a collective call to action to be a more recovery-friendly community.\n\n \n\nHosted by: Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program\, Athens County Job & Fam ily Services\, Area 14 Workforce Development Board\, The Athens-Hocking-Vin ton Alcohol\, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board (317 Board)\, National Institue of Health HEAL Initiative\, Ohio Health\, Ohio Departmen t of Mental Health and Addiction Services\, Health Recovery Services Inc.\, Ohio University College of Health Sciences and Professions\, and Ohio Univ ersity Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service DTEND:20211019T210000Z DTSTAMP:20241123T192055Z DTSTART:20211019T130000Z GEO:39.460676;-82.231822 LOCATION:Stuart's Opera House SEQUENCE:0 SUMMARY:Postponed: Recovery 360 Mission to Market UID:tag:localist.com\,2008:EventInstance_37405679106001 URL:https://calendar.ohio.edu/event/recovery_360_mission_to_market END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
