OCOM 8030 - Geriatric Medicine
This required four-week course is designed to provide the 3rd year student with the skills and knowledge to understand and provide care to elderly patients in a variety of clinical settings.
Course Outcomes
- A set of learning objectives is provided to guide the students learning activities and to serve as a baseline for assessment of the student’s knowledge, skills, and professional behavior.
- During the Geriatric Medicine Rotation, students are expected to develop their competencies in many basic clinical skills.
- The purpose of this rotation is to provide the student with an overview of the clinical specialty of Geriatric Medicine.
